Public Transport to Hospitals

To find out how to get to any healthcare facility, including St John's Hospital, by public transport click on this link (new window) to plan your journey where you can specify St John's Hospital or any other location in West Lothian.

If you are over 60 you are entitled to a Citizens Entitlement Card (Click the text for more information). (new window)

A direct bus link operates between St John's Hospital in Livingston and the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The 400/X400 service runs from St John's via Livingston town centre, Mid Calder, East Calder and Wilkieston, then through south east Edinburgh to the Royal Infirmary. The service is available for everyone, not only those travelling between the hospitals. The buses used on this service have low floor easy access, wheelchair and buggy spaces, with priority seating for elderly and disabled passengers. For details telephone 01506 432251 or visit the website by clicking here (new window).
