Day care
A day care service (Monday to Friday) is operated in two care homes (Limecroft, and Whitdale). This is a service for frail older people, including those with dementia, and their carers. Transport is provided to take people to each of the day care centres. Voluntary Sector Day Care Day care is also provided by voluntary sector providers supported by the council. MOOD (Mental Health Options for Older People with Depression). The Project is based at ANSWER House, Reveston Lane,  Whitburn. EH47 8HJ. Tel 01501 749974, mobile 07932540181. MOOD provides a range of groups and resources including 12 groups for up to 75 older people aged 55+ living in West Lothian with depression. The Group aims to develop self confidence, reduce isolation and encourage social contact to help prevent premature admission to institutional care.
