People in West Lothian now have access to a wealth of advice and information on health and care issues online - thanks to a new website www.westlothianchcp.org.uk which was launched this week.
The aim of the West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) – a partnership between NHS Lothian and West Lothian Council - website is enable people to access local information and contact details quickly in one location.

Dentists
The website also features latest news about the CHCP, publications and a what’s on page and provides links to other organisations such as Carers of West Lothian or the Child Protection Office.
Local people can also have their say in the decision making within the CHCP through the Public Partnership Forum (PPF).
Bob Anderson, chair of the CHCP, said: “The aim of the CHCP is to improve the wellbeing and reduce inequalities across communities. We hope that local people will find the new website a quick and convenient source of information for the services we provide in West Lothian. During the trial period we witnessed a growing number of people visiting the site. Now we hope that more people will switch on to its benefits.”
David Kelly, director of the CHCP, said: “Along with a wealth of information the website also provides access to the Public Partnership Forum which in turn has a role in informing the work of the CHCP. Our aim is to continue to develop the website to further meet the needs of local people.”
Access to the internet is free at all libraries in West Lothian.
