West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) has outperformed the Scottish average on immunisation of children against the MMR uptake target, by coming out as one of the top 2 of the 40 Community Health Partnerships (CHPs) in Scotland to hit national targets.
West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership has exceeded the Scottish Executive target of 95 per cent, recording 96.6 per cent for children aged 24 months. These latest figures, produced by the Scottish Executive’s Information and Statistics Division, cover the period 1 January to 31 March.
Bob Anderson, Chair at West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership said: “We are delighted with the results of the uptake rates for MMR vaccine in West Lothian. The figures demonstrate the continuous hard work carried out by our community healthcare staff.
“It is very positive to see that our messages are getting through and we will continue to highlight the need for children and young people to be protected against these potentially harmful diseases.”
The current MMR uptake rate in NHS Lothian for children aged 24 months is 93.1 per cent.
